President’s statement

Proact has started the business year in a stable fashion with 7 % growth over the quarter (adjusted for currency effects, 15 %). Net sales amounted to SEK 318 million, and profit was up 12 % to SEK 9.5 million, which gave a net margin before tax of 3.0 %. This is the 21st quarter in a row in which the profit has been better than in the corresponding quarter in the previous year.

Business has developed according to plan or better; apart from in Denmark, where sales have been lower than planned. The target for 2010 is profitable growth on all markets, along with establishment of Proact on new markets. The foundation for growth and continuing improvements in profits is formed by enhanced in-house efficiency, better sharing of knowledge and a developed process for handling innovations. The development of what Proact has to offer takes place via close contact both with world-leading suppliers of storage and archiving systems and with new, interesting, innovative startups.

The amounts of digital information stored are continuing to increase.  New hardware and software solutions are being developed constantly. Proact’s role as an integrator is to maintain expert knowl-edge on this, and to always offer its clients the best solutions along with appropriate services pack-aged.

The Group employed 330 people at the end of the quarter, 7 more than for the same period last year.
